Note: I was surprised that a  participant mentioned that they knew of someone who could not ‘get a slot’ for a direct cremation. I checked with Emma from Caledonia Cremation and she confirmed that they are always able to arrange a direct cremation when asked.

Here are the fears from the group about immersing themselves in the space between someone’s last breath and their funeral. There are quite a few concerns about what other people will think. Hopefully this research will help you look after yourself and also possibly take the chance for others who are not able to speak up for themselves in the moment.
